I have worked with several Managing Agents over the years and have found that Sandak Lewin Portfolio Managers are by far the most competent and efficient. Their Senior Management is hands-on and knowledgeable about the law relating to Section Title. Their Monthly Reports are excellent and give Trustees all the info necessary to manage the block. Managing Agents cannot make up for incompetent Body Corporate Trustees, - they are our agents. Most of the criticisms do not know the difference. Most badly run blocks are that way because of ineffective Trustees, - not the Managing Agents fault.
Dealing with Piero Botes has been an absolute pleasure over the years. No question was to big or too small for him to assist with. Feedback was always given same day and in a way I could understand. People can learn from Piero on Customer Service for sure. Always ready to help, always polite and friendly. We need more people like Piero in our lives. We have had the greatest good fortune of experiencing the maintenance team of Bongekile Fikude and Rohan vd Westhuisen taking over the responsibility of our building maintenance. THEY ARE AWESOME. Bongekile responds to a fault report so quickly that it makes your head spin. And Rohan is fantastic at prioritising and monitoring work on hand and forward planning projects so that nothing is neglected or overlooked as well as liason with trades and keeping them on their toes. They are truly a stellar team and a fantastic credit to Sandak-Lewin. With them on board you can truly trust that your property is in the best hands.
I dealt with Jane from SLT on an insurance matter, replacing the broken glass of my front door due to the heavy winds a few weeks ago. Jane is prompt and polite and super efficient and the matter was effortlessly resolved within a few days. Super happy with the service received.
